Dear Parent/Guardian,

Good news regarding the Sacrament of Confirmation for Sixth Class.

The Confirmation Ceremony will take place on Friday 21st August at 4:00 p.m. in the Queen of Peace Church on Vevay Road.

The Ceremony will be a short, simple one of about 30/40 minutes and families will disperse afterwards to enjoy your own programme of activities to celebrate the special day.

Albs will not be worn giving more scope this year to personal yet appropriate dress style. The number allowed to attend in church, as stipulated by church authorities, is three, plus your child.

An tAthair Dónal will be the celebrant.

Information required as per Ath Michael's letter below by 15 July, to the school office email: oifigsc@scoilchualann.ie

I would like to thank Athair Michael for making this possible. Details from Athair Michael’s letter below.

Le gach deá-ghuí,

Michelle Ní Thuama

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope you and your family are well.

The lockdown is easing and the good news is we can now plan the Confirmation ceremonies that we had to postpone. All the Bray parishes, together with the schools, are coordinating confirmation dates in August before secondary school starts, so that families have time to plan and make arrangements.

In order to comply with the Covid-19 guidelines, church capacity is restricted. The number of people who can accompany each child is limited to 3 people - their sponsor and parents or guardians. The Archbishop has asked the priests of the parishes to conduct the ceremony.

The ceremony will be shorter than normal, lasting about 30/40 minutes.

It will take place in Queen of Peace Church on Friday 21st August at 4.00 p.m.

I would be very grateful if you would reply to this email with the following information not later than the 15th July:

  1. The teacher’s name
  2. Your name
  3. Your address
  4. Your child’s name and confirmation name
  5. The name of the sponsor

I look forward to hearing from you shortly

With every blessing,

Yours sincerely,

Fr. Michael
